Askey Congrats to Qualcomm Technologies to Launch Industry’s First Release 16 5G RAN Platform for Small Cells

Askey Computer, a recognized global Netcom solutions provider with specializing in development of network communications and electronics manufacturing from 1989, continues to leverage our 30+ years of knowledge to develop the 5G RAN compliant solution. As Askey utilizes Qualcomm products for indoor and outdoor small cell solutions, it is an exciting news that Qualcomm Technologies has unveiled industry’s first 16 5G RAN Platform for small cells in June 2021.
"Askey is looking forward to Qualcomm Technologies’ evolving 3GPP Rel 16 compliant next generation Qualcomm 5G RAN Platform for small cells (FSM 200xx) with the aim to support mmWave and Sub-6 GHz bands and new 5G use cases for the public and private networks,” said Robert Lin, CEO of Askey.
Qualcomm Technologies has been an important collaborator. Based on the intensive deployment of this new platform for small cells, we hope to accelerate the 5G network popularity and signal coverage to provide customers with high-performance, more advanced features and ultra-reliable low-latency communications 5G RAN solutions especially in offices, airports, sport venues, hospitals, manufacturing sites, etc.
