Askey Computer Human Rights Policy
Askey Computer is committed to complying with all applicable R.O.C and international recognized human rights norms and principles, including 《the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights》, 《the United Nations Global Covenant》、《ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work》. We prohibit any infringement and violation of human rights. and make sure all employee will be treated reasonably, equally and with dignity. Reflect the importance of human rights in the Askey, we have introduced the social responsibility management system, so as to create a safe and comfortable working environment, and takes employee’s human rights seriously.
We committed the following important human rights issues:
● Prohibition of Forced Labor
◎ We ensure that all work is voluntary and employees are free to leave work or terminate employment at any time.
◎ Forced, bonded (including debt bondage) or indentured labor, exploitative or involuntary prison labor, slavery or trafficking of persons shall not be used.
◎ Employers, agents, and sub-agents may not hold or otherwise destroy, conceal, or confiscate identities or immigration documents, such as the documentation originals of government-issued identification, passports, or work permits.

● Not to Hire Child Labor and protection of young employees
◎ Child labor is not to be used in any stage of manufacturing. The term “child” refers to any person under the age of 16. If child labor is identified, assistance/remediation is provided.
◎ Employees under the age of 18 (Young Employees) shall not perform work that is likely to jeopardize their health or safety, including night shifts and overtime.
● Legal working hours and wages
◎ All employment complies with relevant laws, including working hours, overtime hours and benefits required by law; All overtime work is voluntary.
◎ Compensation paid to employees shall comply with all applicable wage laws, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime hours and legally mandated benefits. In compliance with local laws.
◎ All workers shall receive equal pay for equal work and qualification.
◎ Deductions from wages as a disciplinary measure shall not be permitted.
● Humane treatment
◎ There is to be no harsh or inhumane treatment including violence, gender-based violence, sexual harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion, bullying, public shaming, or verbal abuse of employees; nor is there to be the threat of any such treatment.
◎ Disciplinary policies and procedures in support of these requirements shall be clearly defined and communicated to employees.
● Respect diversity and non-discrimination
◎ Respect and uphold Diversity and Inclusion, and equal opportunity. We adopt a zero-tolerance policy to any violation of discrimination.
◎ Companies shall not engage in discrimination or harassment based on race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, ethnicity or national origin, disability, pregnancy, religion, political affiliation, union membership, covered veteran status, protected genetic information or marital status in hiring and employment practices such as wages, promotions, rewards, and access to training.
◎ For employees who request religious activities, shall be provided with reasonable accommodation for religious practices and protect their freedom of communication.
● Freedom of association and Collective Bargaining
◎ Askey shall respect the rights of employees to associate freely. Employees shall be able to communicate actively with the Labor-management meeting (employee representatives are elected by all employees).
◎ Askey also established employee communication channels in accordance with laws. Employees shall be able to openly communicate and share ideas and concerns with management regarding working conditions and management practices without fear of discrimination, reprisal, intimidation, or harassment.
● Environment health and safety
◎ Reasonable steps must also be taken to remove pregnant women and nursing mothers from working conditions with high hazards, remove or reduce any workplace health and safety risks to pregnant women and nursing mothers, including those associated with their work assignments, and provide reasonable accommodations for nursing mothers.
◎ We are committed to providing employees with a safe, comfortable and healthy working environment and necessary protective equipment and continuously improve safety and health performance. Use hazard identification, hazard classification control, and ongoing training to ensure effective mitigation of hazardous work situations.
◎ We encourage employees to make health and safety-related suggestions, and will keep confidential and protect him/her from any unfair retaliation or treatment.
● Ethics & privacy
◎ Participants and their agents are to uphold the highest standards of ethics including, bribes or other means of obtaining undue or improper advantage are not to be promised, offered, authorized, given, or accepted. Intellectual property rights are to be respected, and know-how is to be done in a manner that protects intellectual property rights, and customer and supplier information is to be safeguarded. Standards of fair business, advertising, and competition are to be upheld. To protect human rights, Askey shall avoid using conflict minerals which are listed in SEC rules of “Requirement of report regarding disclosure of registrant's supply chain information regarding conflict minerals”.
◎ Participants are to commit to protecting the reasonable privacy expectations of personal information of everyone they do business with, including suppliers, customers, consumers, and employees. Participants are to comply with privacy and information security laws and regulatory requirements when personal information is collected, stored, processed, transmitted, and shared.
● Communication channel
◎ Askey set up 24/7 communication channel. If employee discover suspected infringements, violations of human rights or harassment, they can provide grievances and feedback through "Complaint hotline", "Sexual Harassment Prevention Hotline”, “Complaint Mailbox", "Suggestion Box", and "Directions for Prevention and Management of Unlawful Infringement in the Performance of Duties "; we ensure will keep confidential the identity of the person reporting and without fear of reprisal or intimidation. After receiving the complaint, an investigation will be carried out in accordance with relevant regulations. After investigation, necessary remedial measures and responses will be taken.
