Askey and Metanoia Announce Collaboration on Next Generation 5G Open RAN Radio Units

Barcelona, Spain – March 02, 2026 — Askey Computer Corp, a leading provider of wireless infrastructure solutions headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, and Metanoia Communications Inc. a leading 5G semiconductor company specializing in Software Defined Radio (SDR) SoC solutions, today announced a strategic collaboration to develop a next-generation portfolio of 5G Open RAN Radio Units (O-RUs). The jointly developed solutions are designed to enable cost-effective, power-efficient, and scalable 5G deployments.

Askey, a global leader in small cell solutions, is expanding its 5G gNB product portfolio to include O-RAN–compliant O-RU solutions. Through this expansion, Askey aims to deliver tailored products and services to service providers, enterprises, and vertical market customers, addressing diverse deployment scenarios and application requirements while accelerating time-to-market and lowering total cost of ownership for RAN deployments worldwide.

As part of the collaboration, Askey adopts Metanoia’s highly integrated MT5824 5G SoC to build a scalable family of O-RUs. These solutions will support a broad range of coverage and performance requirements, from compact indoor small cell deployments to higher-power outdoor densification scenarios.

The joint solutions will be showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, highlighting Askey’s cutting-edge design capabilities combined with Metanoia’s advanced silicon chipsets.
